Watching and Knowing What's a Scam

Don't get scammed. It happens...

So this is what you will you look like and feel after you get scammed. Stupid, angry, sad, embarrassed, maybe poor, and just straight pissed off. But!! There are some preventative ways! Let's get smart people!

LETS START
Trust Fall
Problem with today's world is trust. Trust is a big factor and should always be considered. Modeling is like a trust fall (picture above). You do not know the people so you have a fear of risk getting hurt from the fall. So you might wanna gain some trust to give you THAT PEACE OF MIND!!

There are so many things out there that we cannot trust and sometimes we take for granted some things. There is a high rate of 88% scams (http://www.toponlinescams.com/) within the year, whether buying pills to help you grow taller (there is not such thing lol) or buying a new stolen car. In this case, we are just focusing on modeling scams and is in fact in my opinion one of the easiest ways to be scammed.

So here is an Example of scam
Okay so I'm thinking at first "Brigget Road" or who ever she/he/it is real and this might be legit. Come to find out, it was a rouse. I clicked on her profile and it said it was deleted. So I am like "okay...?" I emailed back from the email address provided and yes I am FOR SURE it was a scam.

The person (Brigget) supposedly requested personal information that you should never give out such as:
  •  Name
  •  Contact Number
  •  Address
  •  State
  •  Bank Information
  •  etc.
NEVER GIVE THAT TYPE OF INFORMATION OUT!!!

  1. Check Your Source See if the offer is real. Do more research on the industry, agency, etc. See if your friends know about it or someone. Best way is to definitely GOOGLE it. Check the website, address, and possibly talk to someone that knows the knowledge about what ever you are getting yourself in.
  2. Do Not Give Out Personal Information It would be imperative not to give personal information out. Especially when you are uncertain and what ever you are doing can cause a risk.
  3. Do Not Make ANY AGREEMENTS Even though we might be the victims of a harmless crime, by law we can only do so much to be safe. Contracts can be a very bad thing. Always consult with someone about it before you take any action and see if what you are getting yourself into is legit.
  4. Be SAFE It's a cold world out there and people will do anything to scam you. Most scams are harmless until someone gets hurt. Be on your safe side and do not take any risks.
So here is another example of a scam
Okay so about the top picture above on the email, I was contacted about doing some model/photography work. So I am like, this is different. BUT LOOK!! They gave me a number!! What do I do? I call it, and you know what? When I called it, it was a out of the country number. WTF!?!?

So the website looked legit because I am very well aware of Chadwick Models Inc. But there agency is located in Australia. So why the freak are they contacting me in the U.S to do some model work. That's BULL!!

So here's another one!!

So these should make sense right now. By now you should know what a scam is!!

How to become a model!!

How to become a model!

Pier Nguyen

It's finally here guys! How to become model, knowing when and what's a scam, how to act professional and know your stuff.

LOL not literally that tall, but tall enough

Here's the break down guys. Keep reading on if you have these qualifications; Men must be at least 5"11 - 6"5 and Women must be 5"9 - 6"0. So far so good?

Well of course you have to have a good looking body to go with your height.

Know your shit in the fashion industry! Know what fashion week is, the top models in the World, top photographers, and especially know all your fashion and clothing designers. Networking and being polite is one of the things ever model needs to know!

Have a portfolio! You are looking at pictures that are a good 8 by 11 pictures and they go in a portfolio. This is important because you need to impress your employers, modeling agencies an... to get booked for the fashion job! Pictures must be fierce, and when I say fierce I mean no SENIOR LOOKING PICTURES!

Runway Walk

Have a fierce walk. Here's something for the guys. Guys need to take longer strides then regular walking. Back must be straight, chest must be little bit out not awkward, pretend you are talking with stacks of books on your head. Hands must be swaving not hard but turn in a way that the photographers can take your picture and that it won't look like your hands won't be chopped off.

LADIES: Cross walk, more struding, must walk on the bold of your heels, and signiture poses are podent in this industry.

Get signed with an agency! Without getting signed, you definitely can't find or getbooked for jobs causes your clients need reference and they just don't pay you straight up. Think of it like this. When you get signed, your modeling agency acts a direct deposit bank and what ever jobs you get booked your modeling agency will pay you. Though the agencies to tend to take a percentage from what you make.

GO-SEES!!! Gotta wear clothes that are not too stuffy, not too awkward and not too flashy. Ladies should just wear tight jeans, tank-top and heels, and Guys should just wear jeans and white t-shirt. Remember that is the reason to show your body figure and it's simple clothing wear.

Beware of scams! If you do not get enough information from agents, agencies, ect. through the internet, advertisement, flyers, people, ect. then DON'T DO IT!!! You shouldn't expect to pay a lot to get somewhere nor pay so and so to do something.

ALL MODELS must be professional in what they do. Know this shit!!: Editorials, Commericials, Prints and High Fashion! Always be nice! Know some Model Etiquete!

The Fashion World tends to be very cut throat so bear the pain of criticism, staying long hours for things, travel a lot, working out to maintain a good looking body, and last but not least KNOW everyone and everythings name and lots of networking.

Models are free, role models, lots of self-esteem, persistent, fun, easy to work with, andFIERCE!!!

Good luck all models in pursuit!

Modeling

How to Model

I want people to know that I have been through a lot through the modeling industry. It was very hard. One of the biggest things I had to deal with was my height. I was only 5"8 and the most accepted height is 5"11. So 3 inches does seem to matter but that never stopped me.
